LufCo is hiring an Android Software Engineer to join a collaborative, small team environment to support the development of ShotAlert, a gunshot and explosion detection software. This position will be remote with 10% travel.
What is ShotAlert? A software-only, active assailant system that automates gunshot and explosion detection, classification, and reporting. ShotAlert sets itself apart from the competition by providing a low-cost, easy to install, military-grade shot detection capability on commodity hardware.

What You'll Need:
- A Security Clearance will be required to support this effort. (All that are eligible to obtain a clearance are welcome to apply)
- B.S. degree in Computer Science or related Engineering discipline
- 5-10 years' experience as a Software Engineer
- Experience with Android / Mobile Application Development
- Experience with C++ and Java
- A positive attitude and willingness to work together as a team
- Critical and analytical thinking skills
- Keep attention to detail
- Excellent time management
- Strong communication skills
Experience with some or all the below:
- Agile/scrum methodology
- Full software development cycle
- Experience working as part of a development team
- Proficiency with project tracking software, such as Jira
- Digital Signal Processing/Audio knowledge (preferred)
- Android App releases (preferred)
